Privacy Policy

This Privacy and Personal Data Processing Policy explains what personal data BYJECS collects through this website (byjecs.com), why it is collected, how it is processed and what rights you have. It is issued in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 (compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015). If you are located in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies where relevant.

Data controller

I am also the person responsible for handling any request, question or complaint about your personal data.

What data I collect

When you use the contact form, I receive: your name, email address, the service you are interested in, your budget range (optional), your website (optional) and your project description. I only collect what you choose to send. I do not request sensitive data, and I ask you not to include it in your message.

To prevent spam, the form temporarily stores an irreversible, encrypted fingerprint of your IP address for up to 10 minutes. Your actual IP address is not stored by the form.

Purposes of processing

Your data is used only to:

  • Read and reply to your inquiry.
  • Prepare a proposal or quote, if you request one.
  • Communicate with you during the project, if we decide to work together.

I do not use your data for advertising or newsletters, and I do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Your authorization

Before sending the contact form you must check the box authorizing the processing of your personal data under this policy. A record of that authorization (date and time) is kept with your inquiry. You can revoke your authorization at any time by writing to contact@byjecs.com, unless the data must be kept to fulfill a legal or contractual obligation.

How data is stored and who processes it

Form submissions are delivered to my business email inbox. If an email cannot be delivered because of a technical problem, a copy of the inquiry is kept in the private administration area of this website, accessible only to me, until it has been handled. This website and the email service are hosted by Hostinger, which acts only as a technical service provider (data processor) and may store data on servers located outside Colombia. By using the form you authorize this transfer, which is made only to providers that offer adequate security measures.

I keep inquiry emails only as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting project, and no longer than 24 months after our last communication, unless a contract or legal obligation requires a longer period.

Your rights

As the owner of your data you have the right to:

  • Know, update and correct your personal data.
  • Request proof of the authorization you gave.
  • Be informed, upon request, of how your data has been used.
  • Revoke your authorization and/or request the deletion of your data.
  • Access your data free of charge.
  • File complaints with the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, SIC) after first contacting me. If you are in the European Union, you may also contact your local data protection authority.

How to exercise your rights

Send an email to contact@byjecs.com with the subject “Personal data request”, including your full name, the email address you used, a description of your request and how you want to receive the answer.

  • Inquiries (to know what data I have and how it is used) will be answered within 10 business days of receipt. If that is not possible, I will tell you why and answer within 5 additional business days.
  • Claims (to correct, update or delete data, or revoke authorization) will be answered within 15 business days of receipt. If that is not possible, I will tell you why and answer within 8 additional business days. If a claim is incomplete, I will ask you to complete it within 5 days.

Cookies

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress may set technical cookies only for logged-in administrators.

Fonts

All fonts are hosted on this website’s own server. No data is sent to Google Fonts or other font providers.

Embedded videos

Some pages show YouTube videos. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click a video. When you click, the video is loaded from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies from that point.

Minors

My services are aimed at businesses and adults. I do not knowingly collect data from people under 18.

Changes and effective date

This policy is effective from October 19, 2026. If it changes in a way that affects how your data is used, the new version will be published on this page before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows the latest update.
